Paul Dresher is an experimental Luthier who works out of Oakland, California. He is the instrument builder for the [[Paul Dresher Ensemble]]. He frequently collaborates with [[Daniel Schmidt]] to build and design instruments. ===Instruments=== ==Sound Maze== ==Sound Stage== ==The Peacock == ==Field of Flowers== ==The Octagon== ==The Quadrachord== ==The Hurdy Grande== {{youtube>FILBM2GgBgA}} ===NOTES=== Youtube ((https://www.youtube.com/user/pauldresher2007/videos))\\ Paul Dresher website ((https://www.dresherensemble.org/works/invented-musical-instruments/)) \\ The Paul Dresher Ensemble has a residency that allows artists to take advantage of their studio which appears to include physical space to work, recording equipment and woodworking tools and equipment.\\ The relationship to the work of [[Daniel Schmidt]] is really fascinating, as his work otherwise is focused on [[Experimental Gamelan]]. I wonder what connections there are to Mills college. \\ Featured in Volume 3 Issue #4 of [[EMI]] as part of a review of the book "Catalog to the Exhibition/Festival for New Instrumental Resources I & II" \\
