Also known as Squealy D, Linsey Pollak is an Australian instrument builder who focuses on making wacky woodwind instruments. Examples include clarinets from hoses and carrots, and a number of cylindrical saxophones. Many of the woodwinds are hooked up to amplification and fed through pedals. part of his practice is to find ways to reverse engineer and simplify the construction process of existing instruments. He often works with readily available household materials. His website features openly available designs for many of the instruments.
Pollak has made extensive guides on how to build many of the instruments that he uses in his music practice.

His Youtube account also features extensive playlists of idiosyncratic and experimental instruments. 3)
I really like how open he is about sharing his innovative ideas on building instruments. He has done significant work in reverse engineering instruments like the Vinova and the Duduk and made them easy to understand and build.
